What image types can I use for poster printing?

Only JPEG format (*.jpg, *.jpeg) can be used. This (JPEG) is the standard format for digital cameras.

How do I upload an image?

First select the poster or canvas format. Then click "Browse..." under "Select image" to select an image directly on your hard drive. You can find your images on the hard drive easily again by creating a folder on the desktop or a special directory (such as canvascentre) for storing all the images from your digital camera. Clicking the Upload button will add your image directly to the basket. Further information on this topic is found here.

Can I place my order by e-mail?

If your are experiencing trouble ordering through the site, you can email your image to sales@canvascentre.com.au simply include the media type you would like to print on, desired size, contact phone number and shipping address. You will be contacted by phone within 24 hours to arrange payment and organise delivery time.

How large can my image file be?

General rule is bigger the file better the results we can produce. We pocess images with file size up to 20MB (average file sizes are 2-3MB). If your images are larger, sipmly contact us to make arrangements. We can receive your data on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.

What can I print my photo on?

You can print your image either on special 230mg² semi-matt photographic paper with or without lamination, or on high quality 300mg² canvas. The canvas is stretched over a 4cm thick stretcher frame by professionals so you can easily hang your picture on your walls.

What resolution do you print at?

We print your poster at high resolution. You can achieve optimum quality for your image if it has 100 dpi at the selected format size (such as 60 x 45 cm).

What resolution must my image have?

The higher the resolution, the better the image quality. However, file size also increases at higher resolution. Using the special CanvasCentre optimization of the files, we even achieve good quality in large format prints made from images taken with a 2 megapixel camera. Please remember, however, that the quality of a poster is determined by the resolution, and we do not accept responsibility for complaints caused by insufficient resolution.

How can I tell if my image is suited for poster size?

Simply select the desired poster format and upload your image. You will see a small preview image in the shopping cart and information on the format suitability. How do I pay for my order?

Once you have added products to your shopping cart,  select the payment type you would like to use and follow the instructions. We accept direct deposit, credit card or PayPal. Orders will not be processed without payment being received. Our site is secured by a Geotrust SSL, which encrypts data and transmits payment details over an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection. SSL is a security protocol with which data is transmitted over an encrypted connection. The SSL connection is established automatically.

What are the payment types accepted on the site?

You can pay by using your credit card, paypal or direct deposit from your internet banking or by depositing the money into our account at the bank. The credit cards accepted on the site include Visa Card & Mastercard. We do not accept American Express.

How much are delivery costs?

The size and weight determine the shipping costs. Most of our parcels are shipped as follows:

Canvas: $20
Posters: $10

Special sizes are subject to a bulk surcharge.

Furthermore all parcels are shipped in durable special packaging. Inside the packaging, we use edge protection that is suitable for the respective project. Moreover, your parcel is insured, so that in the event of a transport damage, the full product value will be replaced (not only the shipping costs).
